OnePlus has re-entered the mid-range market whereas Realme is yet to leave a mark in this price segment. If you see like this both are somewhat new entrants in this price range i.e. Rs. 25,000 – Rs. 30,000. Realme did have a offering called as Realme X2 Pro which was a pretty good phone but that’s just the only Realme we can recall in this range and also due to the recent price hike due to GST the X2 Pro is now selling for Rs. 32,000 that too the base variant .Recently both OnePlus and Realme have launched their offerings that is OnePlus Nord and Realme X3 respectively.

The Realme X3 and the OnePlus Nord are both a very speced devices according to their prices and both have their own cons and pros. But I feel the Realme X3 is overshadowed by the OnePlus Nord and it’s not that bad device afterall. Yes, the design of the X3 looks exactly like the budget Realme 6 Pro but that doesn’t mean the Nord is any superior either as both have plastic frames and glass backs. Let’s take a look at where the Realme X3 stacks up against the Nord.

Display –

The X3’s display as we all know is IPS LCD FullHD+ 120Hz. Now most would automatically assume it as it’s inferior then the AMOLED. That’s not entirely true here. The X3’s display have punchy colours and is indeed vibrant. It’s just that in low brightness it won’t as black as AMOLED. It’s just a stereotype that AMOLED > LCD. Not even considering the refresh rates here, just simply the sheer viewing experience.

Telephoto lens –

This is simply a no brainer here. A telephoto lens over a depth camera anyday. Telephoto lens unlocks the zooming capabilities in a phone .Even big reviewers claim that don’t just give 4 cameras for the sake of it.

Double the Storage –

The X3 for the 128GB ROM is priced at Rs. 24,999 whereas the Nord for the 64GB is the same price. More storage, the better and the Nord doesn’t even have a SD card slot. A modern day smartphone shouldn’t have low storage as images are now huge in size then ever and apps take storage more then ever.

Other aspects like design and built both are plastic frame and glass back so premium feel is finished there and then only. Same goes for charging i.e. 30W. But at the end of the day the OnePlus Nord will sell more just because it’s an OnePlus. Customers thrived for a lower priced OnePlus as their phones were touching the Rs. 40K price point and they got it what they wanted. The Oxygen OS is what brings them at this level too. It might not be the best custom skin but it’s the most sought one.
