Recently, Oppo has been launching some great and impressive phones but they were highly priced like Find X and R17/R17 Pro which catered to customers with budget of above Rs. 30,000. Last year Oppo launched a sub brand known as Realme which was online exclusive and strictly priced around or lower then Rs. 15,000. But later Realme separated from Oppo and now is an own entity. With this Oppo launches Oppo K1.

The phone is equipped with Oppo’s iconic 25MP AI selfie camera and is sure an edge over its competitors. The phone’s display is also very impressive as it has an 6.4 inch AMOLED display which is not available at this price range. The thing is that the in-display fingerprint scanners currently only work with AMOLED panels and further researching is going on to implement the same in IPS LCD displays. Running the show is the budget beast Snapdragon 660 which is proved to be a very good processor. But phone’s like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Realme 2 Pro are equipped with the same processor and are lowered priced then the K1. Today Oppo announced Oppo K1 which is an online exclusive phone. This is the first time that Oppo is launching a phone exclusively for the online market. This also becomes the cheapest phone with an in-display fingerprint scannner.The Gadgets Hub take/opinions on this – The Oppo K1 is priced aggressively as in the high end technologies it brings along with it. Its has Pros and Cons. The major con is that it lacks USB Type-C whereas lowered priced phones like Samsung Galaxy M20 and Moto One Power has it. This phone may not be for everyone as the UI is kind of not to everyone’s liking i.e. ColourOS. But Oppo Fans and people who want strinking design can enjoy this phone as it a gradient finish on the back. The 3600mAh battery would be enough and sufficient for a day’s use. The positive part is that Oppo has finally taken an initiative to bring its high end technologies to the budget segment and exclusively for the online market which keeps the prices low and pricing friendly for the consumer.
