LG is a brand which is no longer evident in the smartphone market as it used to be back in the days when it went head to head with the Samsungs and iPhones. LG phones are still pretty good atleast the high end ones, but the same problem prevails that is no one even realizes that LG phones have been launched and this is all due to the fact that LG has been always lacking in sharing to the world about their newly launched devices. But everyone has eyes grabbed on the LG G8x ThinQ right now.

This is all about to change for a couple of days as all eyes are on LG as they are entering the Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale with a banger offer that is LG G8x ThinQ only at Rs. 19,999. This sounds untrue but that’s infact the price LG G8x will sell for during the sales. Who knows whether it’s just a marketing stunt or legitimately they have enough units to sell at that price. Everything will be clear during the sales. For now here are some reasons why you should grab LG G8x ThinQ at this mind-boggling price:-

1. Snapdragon 855

The LG G8x features the last year’s Snapdragon 855 which is by no means a processor that has become slow over the months but will anyday perform any task you throw at it with ease. Getting a phone under Rs. 20,000 with the Snapdragon 855 is a dream come true. This is the most attracting reason to get the G8x when phones under this price range come nowhere near the raw performance of the Snapdragon 855. The lowest this processor was sold in a phone in India was the Redmi K20 Pro for Rs. 23,000 in recent sales. So even extremely aggresive brands like Xiaomi haven’t provided this much performance value.

2. Dual Screen for LG G8x ThinQ

Dual screens are a form of factors which go beyond the regular glass slabs which phones have become these days. Different form factors which are in the trend are folds, flips but LG has different approach by implementing an exactly same display in sort of a flip cover. The best part is you can remove it when you don’t require or never use it at all, it’s all upto you. How you’ll use the Dual screen depends on person to person but it’s definitely a great thing to have and changes the way we use our phones. The best part is that the Dual Screen of LG G8x comes withing the box so this adds even more to the value of Rs. 20,000.

3. IP68 Water Resistence & Wireless Charging

The LG G8x ThinQ is a full fledged flagship and not a flagship killer. So it is certain the phone has these nifty features not at all found under the Rs. 20,000 price range. LG8x features 9W wireless charging and 21W wired charging. Which is justified to fill up the 4000mAh battery. The fact that no phone even has wireless charging in less then Rs. 50,000 is a bonus win for the LG G8x.

4. Flagship cameras

As this is a flagship phone, you can expect very very crisp quality photos. The shutter speed is extremely good on this one. From various reviews, the 32MP front camera doesn’t do justice to the numbers of megapixel count especially in video recordings even with good amount of lightning but it’s more then a year since this phone was announced so definitely expect some improvements in the camera department.

Other information you should know:-

  • Software updates – Android 10 for LG G8x was just released last month which is very very late considering Pixel phones were starting to receive the Android 11 at that point of time. The update woes for LG phones still continue which hasn’t changed all these years. As the phone has relieved 1 major Android update, it’ll get just one more (until and unless LG pushes 3 updates like Samsung) update and that’s all, so don’t expect 2 updates despite it being a flagship phone. Personally, I have a feeling LG will improve with Android 11 as it’s already in internal testing phase for the LG V60
  • Stereo Speakers – Well not exactly stereo but that’s what brands call it when enabling the earpiece as a speaker. Nonetheless is better then nothing.
  • Headphone Jack – 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC tuned by Meridian Audio and probably the only brand to provide dedicated DAC.
  • NO Adaptor in the Box – LG has confirmed that it will not provide the adaptor in the box and buyers of the G8x have to buy it separately. The same story continues now with Android OEMs as well it seems, that remove the adaptors from the box in name of environment safety. But again the phone will be selling for Rs. 20,000 so can’t complaint much. LG confirmed this by replying to a user on Twitter where he rectified if the phone selling would be genuine or a refurbished one as box contents. Fortunately, the Dual Screen would still be provided along side the phone.
