The gaming industry recently has been blowing up in terms of consumption. The gaming industry has earned more revenue than the movie and music industries combined, every year for the past eight years. Now officially its a profession to be a gamer and at the same time, this industry can generate tons & tons of money. If the person has exponential skills in gaming, he/she will be very successful keeping the competition in mind. Now gaming phones are the latest buzz in town.

Now coming to expansion of gaming. Before, professional games were only for PCs and gaming consoles. These days competitions & tournaments take place in esports . Esports is basically sports but on video games and online multiplayer games where players in a game battle for the victory. It basically is a competition of video games. Extreme talent & skills are required to get into esports. This esports has now been expanded to mobile gaming as well. Popular games like PUBG Mobile & Clash Royale as well has esports organisations have invested huge in esports as well. WHY? because this industry has tons of potential and every one involved in it whether Game companies, esports teams, sponsors etc. gain something from here (money and popularity).

Gone are the days when professional games were only restricted to PCs and consoles. These days Mobile gaming has taken over like storm. Therefore, a new mobile category is born – Gaming phones. Gaming phones have top of the line hardware like best SoCs, RAM & ROM configurations, cooling systems available at that point of time. These phones have kind of a beastly design with RGB lights in the hardware itself. This clearly mimics RGB lights in PCs and keyboards and bring about a gaming vibes especially in the dark. To some design of gaming phones may appear obnoxious while some may find it futuristic/appealing. Some of the popular Gaming phones are:-

Razer Phone 2-

The 2nd iteration in Razer phones series. It has an old 16:9 display but it takes full advantage of the front stereo speakers making it one of the best speakers in a phone. It also feels premium like any other flagship phone due to the glass back finish. RGB on the Razer logo.

Asus ROG phone-

Asus ROG is by far the most interesting gaming phone currently. It has tons and tons of accessories like air triggers, cooling fan, dock (which cab attached to computer screen) and various controllers. It even as an overclocked 2.96GHz Snapdragon 845 SoC which is only found here.

Xiaomi Blackshark 2-

This is the 2nd iteration of Blackshark. It comes with the latest and greatest, Snapdragon 855 SoC making it the most powerful gaming phone yet and one of the fastest phone in world. This also comes with quiet good amount of accessories.

Gaming phones are obviously not made for everyone. They target a specific audience those are enthusiastic for gaming and just one to devote their time so much in time. They also do cost very much and equalling the prices of Flagship phones for example ROG phone in India is priced at Rs.70,000 whereas latest from Samsung i.e S10 starts from around Rs.65,000. Though amount of gaming pleasure they offer can nowhere be seen even in flagships. It is by no means true that for ultimate gaming, these phones have to be bought. Phones like Poco F1 and Zenfone 5z have SD845 and can be bought as low as Rs.20,000 and there’s no game they can’t run smoothly. Gaming phones are only attractive and quiet meaningless to 90% of the people. On the other hand the cameras on gaming phones are not at all justified for there price and only excel in gaming experiance. Why pay such high price when you cant get same experience below Rs. 25,000
